The sanctuary of Santa Maria de Idris is dug into the rock overlooking the Sasso Caveoso, on which stands a large wrought iron cross. It shows a lancet on the façade and a bell tower.
The interior has an altar built in 1804 on which is painted a picture of the Madonna on the throne with the Child. Right of the altar is another room with holy water and two tanks dug on the floor. Numerous frescoes: "The Conversion of St. Eustace", "The Nativity", "St. Anthony of Padua", the "Crucifixion", the "Praying Virgin."
Other paintings were present in the original façade at the entrance but they were removed for restoration. The church traditionally was open to the cult of the faithfuls in the month of May, to honor the Madonna.
