The Natural History Museum is a scientific institution of international renown for the width and breadth of its exhibits. Indeed, the museum is home to 4.5 million specimens from all over the world, mostly zoology collections, though there are some extremely interesting botanical, mineralogy and paleontology collections as well. Two floors of the building house a permanent exhibition, with 23 large halls displaying 6,000 animals and 1,000 specimens of minerals and fossils.
