Set inside a scenic park, this 16th-century building houses almost 400 works of art, paintings, sculptures, drawings and engravings, all dating back from the beginning of the 19th century to well into the 20th century.
GAM’s exhibits stem from an original art collection belonging to Prince Odone of Savoy, which was donated to the City in 1866. This initial core of artworks was later enlarged through legacies and purchases made by the City itself. The Museum displays works by N. Barabino, A. D’Andrade, E. Rayper, G. and D. Induno, G. Monteverde, P. Nomellini, Depero, Fillia, R. Merello, E. Baroni, F. Casorati, A. Martini, D. Cambellotti, F. Messina, F. De Pisis, R. Guttuso, M. Mafai, A. Raphaël, C. Cagli, L. Survage, and A. Sassu.
