Since four generations, the Old Bakery Fiore is considered a temple of taste where you can try the typical focaccia of Bari, covered with tomatoes and olives and made with extra virgin olive oil. Also try the own production of taralli (normal, rosemary and potatoes and those with turnip tops).
The bakery is very particular and not just because it is located in the heart of the old town a short walk from the Basilica of San Nicola: it is a kind of bakery-museum in an old converted church (capitals and lintels are still visible).
Being near the port the bakery is particularly popular with tourists and cruise passengers, but the first to appreciate its focaccia, calzoni, panzerotti and taralli are the locals.
