If all your worried about is location then stay at Viminale, it is about a 15 min walk to the Colosseum and other attractions like Trevi Fountain. The hotel itself is very worn down, uncomfortable beds and pillows, mold in the tiles in the showers, air conditioner did not work, the hallway carpeting had the worst moth ball or mold smell to the point I couldn't even breathe. Also you are charged an additional 6 euros per person per night to stay. Def regret choosing this place.

DislikedEverything beginning with the fact that it is promoted to be a 4 star hotel and is priced as such. That sets a level of expectation this hotel does not and cannot meet. It works hard to even be a 3 star hotel yet we were conned into paying for a 4 star.

LikedThe location and price are really the redeeming qualities about the hotel.
DislikedThe front desk staff when we arrived was not particularly friendly but we weren't bothered by it. We were excited to be in Rome! However after two days in the hotel, on our last night, we returned from dinner and the front desk staff chastised us for not leaving our room key with the front desk when we had left. No one at the hotel had suggested we do so in any of the previous times we came in and out of the reception (several times both days). The interaction left a sour note on our stay. The room was NOT quiet at all. Every sound outside of our room was crystal clear, including the cleaning staff accessing the supply closet adjacent to the room very early in the morning. Lastly the shower was moldy. Gross. The bed was not very comfortable but in its own, if this had been the only issue, it would still have been a wonderful stay.
