Hotel Accademia

LikedThe location was just excellent, Trevi fountain is right on the doorstep. When you Walk outside the front door of the hotel there’s lots of side streets with bars & Restaurants.

DislikedExtremely Disappointed with my room, on arrival the TV didn’t work, I had to call down to reception & have it checked. Luckily after a time it was fixed but there was no channel available in English to watch. Major problem in the room, we had a manfestion of insects & spiders. More severely in the bathroom, crawling the walls the floor, seemed to be everywhere. On our towels, crawling the sink.We kept the bathroom door closed, to stop them entering the room. Unfortunate the Next morning, we were covered in huge bites, on our legs & arms. very unhappy, as I had paid a lot of money to stay in this hotel. When we told Reception, we couldn’t use our bathroom facilities to shower. He shrugged his shoulders, not even apology, not even when we showed him, evidence of our bites & videos of thousand flys crawling the walls. He didn’t Wana know all he cared about was getting the city tax from us. Very glad i only booked this hotel for 1 night & moved to a new hotel. Will Never return.

LikedThe hotels location is superb, the rooms were clean but dated however major refurbishment is ongoing this did not interfere with our stay.The breakfast was excellent as much as you can eat.

LikedGreat Location near Fontana di Trevi. And so very quiet. The room we had booked was not ready - in fact they sent us up to it and it had not been used. I think that would have been a better room (size wise) then the one we ended up in. Could tell there was lots of work being done in the hotel (but it was off-season) but did not hear any of it during the morning/evening. Overall would definately stay again, but might see about the CLUB rooms.

DislikedThe beds were very firm. And would have appreciated a heavier blanket.

LikedThe breakfast was not so bad, however it was in a separate building.

DislikedThe whole hotel is under construction - it did not look good and it was noisy.
