Parma is one of the less touristy Italian destinations. It has a beautiful medieval historic centre, cathedral, baptistry and piazza, all in an area prohibited to traffic and with very few crowds. Make sure to visit the Pilotta Palace, which houses the National Gallery of Parma. In the gallery you will find the small but exquisite 'La Scapigliata', 'The Lady with Dishevelled Hair', an unfinished oil painting attributed to Leonard da Vinci and sharing the same mysterious beauty as the Mona Lisa. Be sure to sample the local dishes at one of the many restaurants. We had a lovely dinner at Ristorante Gallo d'Oro.AdrianAustralia

They give the rooms a nice new painting; the floors are also renewed and feels warmer. The system for getting in during the night is working perfectly; the Wifi is also working well; the staff is very friendly; the breakfast is perfect. So from my side, I will stay in Brenta whenever I will travel to Parma.
