Italy’s first capital, sophisticated Turin has many elegant buildings and porticoed streets. Large Piazza Castello is the focal point and centres on Palazzo Madama, an unusual structure with a Renaissance façade and medieval body.
The next door Royal Palace backs onto Turin Cathedral, home to the Turin Shroud, the cloth with an imprint of Christ only rarely on display. Its museum is just one of the many fantastic Turin museums. None is better than the Egyptian Museum, the largest collection of Egyptian artifacts outside Cairo. Also noteworthy is the Mole Antonelliana, housing displays on Italian cinema and supposedly the world’s tallest museum.
By the Po, Italy’s longest river, is the Parco del Valentino, a tranquil park that is home to the Borgo Medievale, an artificial, medieval-style settlement with a castle.
However, within Italy, Turin is best known for sport and cars. FIAT is based here and nostalgia lovers can visit the rooftop track on top of their old Lingotto factory, now a conference center. The city’s 2 Serie A football clubs - Torino and Juventus - also have electric atmospheres at their games.
Watch out for amazing views of the Alps as you fly into Turin Airport. Public transport then quickly links you to your Booking.com hotel, B&B or hostel.

Many opt for Milan over Turin, but it's time to reverse that trend. Turin isn't just an industrial city as commonly perceived; it's a stunning destination steeped in history, once the residence of the King of Italy. With its abundance of historical landmarks, excellent shopping, and delightful dining options, Turin offers a tranquil ambiance distinct from other Italian cities. Its compact size allows for leisurely strolls, making it a perfect getaway.

A beautiful city, less obvious than Rome and Milan, but offers a lot of attractions, both for those who like monuments and art, and for those who are interested in cars or movies. The area is also worth seeing, and the Alps look amazing. Turin is also famous for its food.

Only drove through Turin on route to France.
Only drove through Turin on route to France. Quite an experience. Main roads can be three lanes each direction twinned with the parallel residential street all meeting at a five or six way junction.😬Funky & stylish restaurants in the old town.

It was a cultural shock to me, visiting for the first time and coming from a town and region that lacks the level of art, architecture, structured urban life, well organized public transport, many other things. I couldn't pick one or two places as favorites, there were many interesting spots, nice parks and public spaces, shops. Turin has rich history, is important as the hometown of Juventus, FIAT, Lavazza, to mention few. The city is overcrowded on weekends, Italians like to enjoy meals or beverages in restaurants or bars. Monday is usually a free day, and placed close for a few hours around lunch every day, so have in mind that when visiting. One cannot see everything in several days, so I hope to return again to round up the places not visited on this trip.

The city has a lot to offer from museums and galleries to shopping and site seeing. We only stayed for two days which is not enough really to see everything. I’d recommend purchasing the City card as it offers quite a lot of free or discounted entries to many museums , however some museums have a timed entry slots and require a booking online only Egyptian museum for example , we missed out on that one .Be prepared to spend quite a lot of time walking around museums and galleries as they are big and there’s a lot to see .
If traveling on the weekend then definitely try to book a restaurant for an evening meal as they get really really busy and it’s almost impossible to find anywhere where you can just walk in , we found out the hard way and after a lot of walking and not being able to get anywhere we were almost at the point of giving up and just by pure chance stumbled upon a nice restaurant that found a table for us and we had a lovely meal after all .Unlike UK most restaurants do not open until 7pm , but during day time there’s a lot of small coffee and pizza places offering pizzas , panini , sandwiches , light bites and of course famous Italian coffee . Don’t expect to find a large cappuccino as I’m pretty sure they don’t exist in Italy .
A tip from my friend who lives in Italy is to always look after your bag and belongings while walking the streets as unfortunately street crime is very high in Italy and police won’t do much about it if you were robbed . Also the night life tip is to always look after your drinks as drink spiking is one of the most committed crimes in big cities like Turin , Rome , Milan etc . So enjoy your visit but always stay cautious .
Everything is highly well-maintained by its staffs, who are superbly attentive and professionally polite to their guests. The room was very much standard to the other HILTON branches around the world, and the overall cleanliness is beyond the average 4-star rated hotels that are based in Italy. Although it was only a night of staying at this hotel, as a frequent business traveler around Europe, Asia, and the US, I can definitely say this specific hotel is "far beyond the average" in overall aspects.
The hotel is very pretty and newly renovated. The owners are super nice and will do everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible Breakfast is delicious and super fresh; you'll be treated with pancakes, crepes, croissants, yogurts, and fresh fruits. Coffee is delicious too. There is a private parking (this is gold in Turin!!); EV chargers available across the street if needed but one is coming soon on property. If you fancy good food, try out the Milord (about 100m down the street) ;-)
They took really good care of us, the hotel personnel was great, pleasant and professional. Our room was extremely comfortable and elegant at the same time. The hotel is located right in the centre of Turin, many of the most famous museums are within walking distance, same for shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel' s bar and spa are great too and we visited them several times. An hotel that is like Turin herself, elegant, sumptous, but at the same time very clean and well organized.
Loved everything about this property from the professional reception and breakfast staff to the enormous bathrooms to the modern architecture. This hotel has it all at a very reasonable rate. It’s not close to the Turin attractions but has restaurants and museums in the area. “Eataly” is a unique restaurant-grocery store that offers a wide variety of menu options. And Double Tree gives free vouchers to the Pinacoteca Agnelli museum - its worth the visit!
Clearly one of the prime decisions to check in this hotel is the close location to Turin (4-minutes-ride with the Metro). The inner courtyard is quite practical for walkies with your dog. For security reasons it gets closed for the public at 10 pm. There is a in-house cafeteria and you can order a pizza at the hotel reception. The hotel-residential area is nice and modern, but with a striking reminiscence to its agricultural past.
This house is a little bit outside the center of Turin but we can use underground service to center. The underground station is not far within 5 min. The owner is super friendly. He had even waiting us outside so we could easily park our car in his parking. We have custom made breakfast. When we said we will go to other part of Italy, owner gave us more information around that area. He is the top one owner so far we have met.
After traveling around Italy in various hotels, this location was a breath of fresh air, high ceilings and plenty of windows that allow for air to circulate through the apartment easily made for an incredibly refreshing and enjoyable stay. A forth floor apartment giving plenty of distance from traffic for comfortable white noise and an incredible view of the Mole Antonelliana. Will definitely stay here again in the future!
Everything. The location is wonderful for all the attractions and shopping! The staff were so friendly, professional and helpful! The breakfast was impressive and delicious and full of variety! The room was beautifully decorated and spacious! Many thanks to Anne at the front desk! If there’s a score more than 10, I will not hesitate to choose it! If I ever visit Turin again, this will be the only hotel we choose!
Everything. This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in in Italy,Especially the cleaning lady is so nice, and the front desk is also very nice. I don’t try the breakfast because I can’t get up that early. If it wasn't for the next day there was no room available, I would definitely stay another night.
Questo è il miglior hotel in cui ho soggiornato in Italia, soprattutto la donna delle pulizie.
This hotel is so stylish. Really helpful staff.
The room we had was so spacious and comfortable.
The roof top race track is next door and free for guests at the hotel ( just ask)
The metro also very close that takes you in to Turin centre.
Eatily is also close by for wonderful foid ( markets and places to eat(
It's also a lovely walk on the river into Turin ( about a leisurely hour)
The hotel boasts an excellent location, situated near the central train station in the heart of Turin. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The staff were thoughtful. Additionally, the breakfast was abundant, offering a range of options to suit all tastes. Highly recommended for a good stay in Turin.
Fail to understand why this hotel has a one star grading. I have stayed in other 3 and 4 star hotels in Italy and this hotel has nothing to envy those hotels. Staff are helpful and the hotel is situated some fifteen minutes away from the Royal Palace. Their are two private car parks close to the hotel.
The location was great for me 15 minutes walk to centre 3 minutes walk to the port susa train station and metro port susa station directly to aitport really good restaurant across road from hotel I would definitely return to this hotel when I return to turin
It was not too far away from the center of Turin, however the public transportation connection to the hotel is terrible ( especially when there are no taxis and the staff don’t seem to care one bit how their guests navigate from A to B )
the service here is great and warm~ it, unlike many other hotels, provides many soaps, if you also love using soap like me, choose this one. I live on the soap this hotel gave me for my whole vacation in Italy
Friendly faces in this affordable, clean & welcoming family hotel. Ideally located, between train station Porta Susa and centre, for an explorarion of Turin.
Sweet little hotel, just near Porta Nuova train station and easy to get to Via Roma and all the beautiful piazze. Excellent breakfast and helpful staff
