Cozy feel in the Center—cobblestones, porticos, Mercato Albinelli, Enzo Ferrari Museum, incredible food, particularly Uva d’Oro restaurant (went to dinner there twice as it was so enjoyable) and Sant’Agostino three times for late afternoon aperitivi.

This was a really lovely city with an extensive pedestrian town centre. The Duomo is a highlight, the covered market is charming (it re-opens in the evening with a variety of what seem like pop-up restaurants) and the very grand town hall was worth a visit. You are spoilt for choice for restaurants - we liked Stallo Pomodoro and Da Danilo for dinner- both had outside terraces, and for lunch, Aldina, a very traditional no frills trattoria on the first floor near the market. Blums, a prize-winning gelateria, served the best ice cream I had on this trip.

Really a treat, Modena deserves to be better known.
Really a treat, Modena deserves to be better known. A beautiful and walkable city, with magnificent food, good and variegated shops, and did I mention the magnificent food? The Galleria Estense is an excellent museum (with all information in Italian and English). Opening hours for churches are a bit intransparent (and not always kept), but the city is definitely worth a trip!

A beautiful town not overrun by tourists or tourism, with good restaurants, lovely sites, and extremely well kept buildings. It is easily walkable (no tourist cars in the center). If there was something to avoid, I could not find it.
This hotel was terrific! Conveniently located to everything! Parking was easy and close! We were greeted warmly by the front desk upon arrival! The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable! We were recommended a great local restaurant down the street was excellent! The hotel had a breakfast that was delicious and had a full menu with eggs and fresh baked goods! We visited the Ferrari museum which was in walking distance. A super hotel that must be visited when you come to Modena!
Good hotel car park, easy to find and far enough out of Modena not to be overloaded with traffic. Hotel in a side street so very quiet. Easy to drive off around the area from the hotel and for Modena city centre there is a bus stop less than 2 mins from the hotel, which cost 2 euros and you can use contactless. Many restaurants nearby but the food can be quite similar with little variation. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Communication was excellent and Valeri was a joy to work with. Checking in was a breeze with clear instructions. The room was immaculate and very well-appointed. Comfortable beds, a spacious, clean bathroom, ample towels and a roomy shower. The location is on a quiet street with easy access to the center of town. We walked everywhere. If we are fortunate to visit Modena again we will stay here again.
Very nice and hospitable couple. The room is pretty private with private bathroom, there is shared kitchen, that is good equiped. You got own keys so you are pretty independent on the owners. Also the breakfast was very nice, they asked me before what I prefer to eat. Unfortunately I haven't got more time to spend in Modena to have more conversation with the owners
This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels! The facilities were all fine but what made it exceptional was how helpful and friendly the staff were - everyone was pitch perfect. The hotel was clean, relaxed, friendly and informal. It’s in an ideal location for Modena, food tours and Bologna airport. I hope to return.
The location is really great - although not in the centre, we found everything to be a short 10 / 15 minute walk away - the hotel is especially close to Cesare Modena, the really cool cocktail bar which we really enjoyed. Our room was a really great size with a lovely big bed, and also we loved how clean it was - the cleanliness actually really made it for us.
It is a gem of a hotel in the heart of old Modena. It is a great location with major sites within short walking distance. Excellent cafés and restaurants close by, including the Mercato Storica Albinelli with food stalls and eateries.
A small but super comfortable hotel with wonderful décor. Excellent breakfast with all-you-can-eat!
The rooms were gorgeous with a full marble bathroom. Breakfast was perfect with both Italian & American options. A short walk to the train station was very convenient for our stay for a convention we were attending in Bologna. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel was excellent and we tried our first real Modena balsamic there!
Very clean, comfortable room. Very quiet location (though need to drive into the centre of Modena). On-site parking included. Very nice and friendly host. One of the best breakfasts we have had in Italy - better than most 5* hotels - all home-cooked, including the delicious cakes. Worth staying just for the breakfast!
excellent location minutes from the Modena historic center. the staff were friendly and helpful, and arranged secure parking for my motorcycle and a last minute reservation at an excellent location restaurant. the hotel is simply furnished but is just what was needed for a trip of this type.
This apartment had a great location for walking around Modena and was also close to free parking. Breakfast arrived on time every morning and the host was really responsive to all questions and adjustments. It was also super clean and the kitchen had everything you need.
Hotel not far from Modena city center, easy to reach from the highway.
A few restaurants in the immediate vicinity which is handy when traveling for business.
The hotel has a private parking lot.
Good breakfast in the morning, I enjoyed it!
The room was spotless! And it was the best shower I had in Italy. The size was incredible! The check-in was very easy as was the access the the property. Everything felt very secure. Loved the decor of the room.
The hotel is very new and modern. Rooms are spacious and well furnished. WiFi is on international standards. Large breakfast buffet with good choice of all kind of food.
Definitely the best place in Modena we met.
Perfect location. beautiful old hotel with stunning grounds.
free street parking with pass from reception.
comfortable beds. beautiful view from room of hotel grounds. shutters to make room black out.
Deluxe room OK. Not sure for the other ones. Location 10-15 min walk from Modena downtown. Good breakfast. Good cleanliness of room. Free parking in front of hotel. Quiet area. Good value for money.
Fantastic location, loved the bnb self-service model! Nice rooms, way better than some 4-star hotels at which I previously stayed in Modena. I will definitely stay here again.
