The hotel has been very recently and skillfully renovated. The rooms are bright and clean, and the beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are modern and well-lit, with walk-in showers, bidets, heated towel racks, etc. The rooms are spotless. There is a decent gym. The included breakfast is very pleasant - lots of baked goods, etc. The location is perfect - just outside of the ZTL and easy to find. The Rocca Paolina is a 2-minute walk. From there, you can take an escalator right up into the center of the centro storico. The Partigiani parking garage is convenient to the hotel.

The city center of Perugia is an interesting place with all of the quirks of being a modern city within medieval walls. The Hotel Umbria is part of that charm being hidden within the backstreets of the city center. It is perfectly placed to enjoy the history of Perugia. The staff gave great recommendations on sights and restaurants. Convenient to the train station via the minimetro. Would gladly stay there again.

The ancient Etrurian city of Perugia forms a unique and romantic pattern, and is surrounded by green hills. Perugia’s Old Town still houses several hotels and restaurants that are centuries old.

It is a wonderful historic city. Although it is perched on high ground it is very accessible through public escalators in various parts of the city and with a minimetro from the Perugia station right up to the top at a very small price. Very convenient.

Nice , quaint city, the best was not having many tourists like nearby Assisi. many good restaurants to choose from (old city). being perched on a top of a hill , you need to be prepared to walk/climb quite a bit (but worth the effort)

Historic town with many historic buildings.
Historic town with many historic buildings. Easy to travel by mini metro and rail to Assisi. A shuttle bus operates to take visitors up to the old town. Lots of eating facilities and many restaurants. We used Perugia as a base from which we could visit Assisi.

A very picturesque, historical old town with plenty of cafes and restaurants; Uphill climb into the town centre is massively helped by the open air escalators and elevators; driving in the ZTL (very narrow streets) and parking in the centre is an issue (no possibility to book a parking space in advance) - but it may have been due to the increased inflow of tourists during the Umbria Jazz Festival

Perugia is not only a great city in itself but also a great base to explore the wonders of Umbria and even Tuscany. We had a week there and spent three days in the city itself sight seeing and shopping - highlights included the amazing new gallery, practically empty, the amazing Nobile Collegio del Cambio frescoed by Perugino, the medieval aquaduct that you can walk along and of course the Perugina chocolate factory (reached by Bus A from the Bus or train station if you don't have a car.) We also went on day trips to Gubbio, Lake Trasimeno and Spoleto by bus or train. I will be back as there were many other places that I would like to visit and Perugia makes a convenient hub. We also always found welcoming restaurants to eat in the evening and even got quite a few new clothes.

Perugia is historically one of the most important cities in Umbria. Sights are well presented, museums and entrance fees are reasonable, mongo attractions are free. Restaurants OK. During the Umbria Jazz festival, the city is quite crowded, but the city is even more colorful.
Perugia was the second city on our Italian tour and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience. Hotel Fortuna is in an excellent facility. One can visit all the sites from this location. The rooms are large and clean, and the staff are super helpful and kind. The history of the building is amazing and the terrace on the roof is so much fun. The breakfast was so much more than expected- so much to eat with a great variety. Would recommend this property to everyone.
Hôtel Bonazzi is a family run business and the welcome was warm and very helpful to us as a Nana and grand daughter travelling together.
I thought I had lost my credit card and the owner walked with me to the police station.
The location is perfect for access to Perugia centre .
Breakfast is served with a smile , mainly cake but very tasty , fruit juice , coffee/ tea ( they made my grand daughter a hot chocolate 😊) soft cheese and biscottes, jams/honey and Nutella.
A stylish room with a comfortable bed, a massage chair and a CD player with jazz music. Equipped with air conditioning, safe and small fridge. Spacious bathroom with bathtub and separate shower.
Nice and helpful staff. Good breakfast, great wine which could be ordered at the bar by the reception. Large two-level car park. Nice location for hiking in Perugia, but access to the center is uphill :)
There is a grocery store and an ice cream shop near the hotel.
The hotel was really beautiful and the room very clean. There was a large parking space free of charge. The breakfast was wonderful with really quality products and of course, with many types of chocolates. The breakfast got even better when a very friendly person from the staff, Eriona, brought us an italian coffee and grated chocolate on it instead of sugar. It was the best coffee ever. On my next trip to Perugia, I will definitely book this hotel again.
It's on a quaint, steep old street very close to the center of Perugia, and looks out onto a park and a beautiful landscape beyond. The bedroom was comfortable and had cross ventilation due to having two windows.
There's a small terrace (not facing the street) with a table and two chairs.
The kitchen seemed to have all new appliances.
Luca, the owner, was very helpful in showing us where to park and helping us with our bags.
The rooms were comfortable and updated, with a stunning view of the valley and hills. We conveniently parked the car at the hotel, and walked into town (approximately 10-15 minutes to the center). The staff was very helpful and very friendly. We would certainly stay here again. We had a wonderful time enjoying Perugia and surrounding towns (Assisi, Todi, Spello).
The hotel is perfectly located in Perugia, just a short walk from all the lovely restaurants, bars and a bit of shopping! The staff were super friendly and incredibly helpful! Communicating via WhatsApp and taking care of our restaurant bookings and getting recommendations for our stay was super convenient. They were always super fast to respond!
We loved this hotel! It had everything you need for a stay in Perugia, including lovely and really helpful staff like Lorenzo to answer your questions and book restaurants/taxis for you. Breakfast was very good and our room was really comfortable. It was quiet but also very centrally located. Definitely the best place to stay in Perugia.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The pool was lovely and very welcome after exploring Perugia. Breakfast was good, not excellent. The on site restaurant was very good, if a little expensive. Free parking is a bonus but be warned, the road around the hotel needs a lot of work - I’ve never seen such a poorly maintained road!
Location very central and convenient, a quick walk to the center of town and/or the stairway down to the bus station. a/c much better than usual with a nice balcony with a lovely view. Restaurant served the best meal we ate in Italy - very unusual for a hotel restaurant - with way above average service and good value.
The room was neat and tidy because they clean daily. The location of this hotel is so good that we can reach the tourist attractions in Perugia by walking only. It's near the city centre and Pincetto minimetro. Their staff is also very supportive and overall it was a super comfortable stay.
Location is excellent. Perugia has escalators that take you to the city centre, which are a minute away from hotel. The bus terminus is also a minute away from the hotel.
Staff are excellent.
Breakfast is all you would want, and more.
Night time, hotel room area is quiet.
All the staff were very friendly and super helpful. The room was spotless. The location for central Perugia was perfect, and the breakfast was the best we have had. Lots of fresh ingredients. Don't worry about parking - that is sorted by the hotel, albeit at a price,
Great views. Comfy beds. Spacious homely apartment. Superb location very near the hotel Brufani. Right in the old town of Perugia. Marco and Michele were perfect hosts, very friendly and helpful with local knowledge and advice.
historic hotel and location. one of best in Perugia. town is lovely but nothing much to do after couple of days. visit to Assisi is great by taxi. day trip. plan a full day. Perugia food is fantastic. cheaper and wines are great.
For me the location was critical 5 minutes drive from the Hospital. The Hotel is clean well maintained. The fodd was excelent. Both breakfast and dinner. Lot of parking The staff was very friendly.
