Good starting point if you plan to visit also other places...
Good starting point if you plan to visit also other places like Florence or Lucca as it is cheaper to stay and eat to Florence and the trains worked perfectly, on time and reasonable prices. I used it to get to Florence, you can get open tickets for the day for the same price as if you select certain time and there are several connections in an hour, each took different stops and times. I visited all the sites of Piazza Miracoli in Pisa included in 27 EUR ticket reserved the whole day for it but in fact one afternoon was ok. It is 20 minute fast walk from train station. But if you are not in the hurry it is a nice walk along shops and bistros. To enter the leaning tower really follow the instruction that are clearly stated on the official website before you buy the ticket. The steps are slipper even when no rain! Wide selection of restaurants was around the Piazza Miracoli on the other side of the river. Carefour Express and Pam supermarkets have bar space to charge your phone, you can buy a snack there and heat it up in the bar corner. There was even Nespresso capsule self service machine for only 0,70 EUR. Florence was packed with tourists but I expected it, no surprise there. I ate at the historical market in Florence; the ground floor is cheaper that the upper floor to eat though! You get market stalls but food is served and you can sit down and soak the atmosphere. Cheaper than to sit down outside in restaurants. Toilette is for free here but be prepared for a queue.

You really have nothing more to see along the leaning tower of Pisa and the cathedral in the centre. But in the morning there are stands with stuff to buy around the river and be sure to visit a store called Citees. It has the coolest t-shirts for a really cheap price, around 12-15 euros.

Great city for a short stay. The leaning tower is a must see, and we also enjoyed visiting the Botanical Gardens which was excellent value.
The variety of quality restaurants and coffee shops was excellent, together with a great selection of retail shops.

Think everyone has to go here at least once in their life. We were there for 2 days which was a perfect amount of time to see the sights and taste the local food.
Spent a day in Florence as well which was about an hour on the train from Pisa which trains running back and forward frequently. Would recommend that as well.
Easy to get around the city by walking as everything is located centrally. Plenty of choice to eat and drink.

We spent 1 1/2 days in Pisa and felt that was about enough to see everything. Took a lovely horse and carriage ride, saw the leaning tower of Pisa and ate dinner in a 100% gluten free restaurant which was amazing. Grano Libero homemade ravioli and lasagna. The Grand Duomo Hotel has an amazing view of the tower at night and is a great place to get a drink and unwind I just wish they open before 7:00. The hotel was nice but very old fashioned. First time I’ve been handed a key to a room in forever but just steps away from the tower.

Pisa is a 1 day town.
Pisa is a 1 day town. Besides the tower, baptistery and the church, there is nothing interesting elsewhere. Lucca another interesting town, but the master is from far Firenze... a open air museum. For sure i must came back to visit Firenze properly.
This is an excellent little hotel -- Great value- very comfortable and clean. It is within 15 minutes easy walk from the airport terminal, but it isn't a noisy hotel at all. We have travelled via Pisa on a few occasions, but this is the best B&B we've used in the area. We will certainly use it again on our next trip. Breakfast was nice and fresh, in a really interesting dining area. There are decent restaurants for an evening meal within a couple of hundred metres if you follow the road to the left as you leave the gate.
We really enjoyed the Pisa Tower Plaza. We arrived earlier than check in time and the staff was very accommodating. They told us that we could use the pool while we waited for them to prepare the room. Very classy. The hotel is located about a mile from the city but is easily accessible by taxi. The room was very comfortable as was the large bed. The bathroom and shower were spacious. The restaurant served good food and the staff was friendly. The pool area was well kept with plenty of lounge chairs.
Rooms were extremely spacious, clean and comfortable. Bed was really good. Pillows were soft. Bathroom was really big, which I did not expect. Breakfast was very nice, superb. Lemon cake was exceptional. Ample parking space. The bus stop was right outside the hotel, which made our trip to see the Leaning Tower very smooth. On our way back, we walked for around 40 min and we were at the hotel. There is also a good café right behind the hotel. All in all, an excellent option to stay in Pisa.
The hotel made our five night stay in Pisa very enjoyable. It is located two minutes walk from the station which is perfect for arriving from the airport and for train trips to other cities. It’s a twenty minute walk through the city centre to the tower and cathedral.
Our room was comfortable with a huge bed. The decor is a charming step back in time which adds to the experience.
Breakfast is varied and plentiful.
The manager and his staff are always smiling, helpful and efficient.
It goes without saying that the prime hotel location is one of the best features. I had a breakfast while looking at Pisa tower...Certainly didn't expect that! But the best part of my stay was extremely helpful staff, especially the hotel manager Indrit. I had a trouble getting back to the airport, there was no taxi available for a long time and they helped me to get to the airport...as a part of the hotel service. I would highly recommend Hotel Francesco, it's a hidden gem:)
The staff were very polite, professional and helpful right from our first contact. The hotel is well situated, within easy walking distance of the city centre and not far from the airport and train station. Shuttle services also provided. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The hotel is nicely maintained and renovated in an old building with plenty of character. The buffet breakfast was excellent. We would certainly book again if visiting Pisa.
Autenthic Italy city center accommodation experience, 10 min walking from Pisa Centrale, 25 min walking from Airport.
I would summarize by saying that we felt just like home.
Exceptionally clean, one of the most comfortable beds. The breakfast ia very rich, freshly prepared and diversified by choice. The provolone cheese is something to remember. Flavia is a wonderful host, pleasant to talk with, very careful and we thank her for everything.
This was the best place we stayed when we were in Italy, the rooms where carefully renovated and in a very clean and tasteful way. It is a five min walk from the leaning tower and about 20 mins walk from the train station. Also, the breakfast tickets that we got for Pasticceria DolcePisa - Vegan & Gluten Free Option, Via Santa Maria, 83, 56126 Pisa PI, Italien, served us a very yummie breakfast. We couldn’t be happier that we chose this place!
This hotel with elevator is well located, about 300 meters from the train station of Pisa, which is connected to the airport by a shuttle train. A half hour walk along a pedestrian street that smells of Italy gives you easy access to the Miracoli square. The rooms are small but clean. The staff is smiling and helpful. Good value for money and excellent location.
The hotel was very close to the Pisa San Rossore train station, and a 10 minute-or-so walk from the city centre.
The room was very high in ceiling, and especially the bathroom was very clean and fresh; overall very nice.
The staff was welcoming and prepared tea/coffee in the morning and afternoon (at request).
This was everything I was looking for in a hotel for my stay in Pisa. It's clean, comfortable, practical, no need for overly fancy decorations. Extremely well located, walking distance from everywhere I wanted to go especially the tower complex. The woman at the front desk was very warm, friendly and accommodating.
Really lovely staff and cheap city tax compared to other hotels we stayed at in Italy. The staff gave us a map and helped with recommendations and allowed us to leave luggage the next day. Beautiful room 3 minutes walk away from the tower and the shared bathroom was very clean. Would definitely recommend.
The historic building was great, Ivanka was an extremely welcoming and friendly host, and the room was perfect. We’ve been in Italy a few weeks now and this was by far the most comfortable bed we’ve had. We both slept great and the location was perfect to see the tower and explore Pisa.
Well located hotel about 2 blocks from Leaning Tower of Pisa. Hotel was clean, staff friendly, Breakfast great. Very handy to walk about the city. We requested parking when we booked, and they held a parking place for us. They have limited space. We were grateful for that.
The hotel is around 7 minutes walk from the train station which is also accessible from the airport's 'Pisamover'.
The city centre and the Tower are all within walking distance.
The public areas, bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean.
This is an old hotel in the middle of pisa. The bed was very comfortable and the location was right in the center not a far walk from the train station and airport. The breakfasts were very good. Overall it was good value 👍
The staff were very welcoming, helpful and polite The location was a 5 minute walk to Pisa International Airport so it was super convenient. Breakfast was included and the stay was a great end to a 5 day break in Italy!
Excelent location next to the train station and close to the airport. You can take the bus right outside the hotel for the Pisa tower.
The room felt very old but it was clean and tidy
