Wonderful amazing place and exciting. Friendly and professional people. Awesome to sail around in either a taxi, gondola or bus even as well as see it. The streets are like a maze. Highly recommend this city, top 10. Different than other cities in a wonderful way. My husband and I loved Venice.

My wife and I have visited Venice before, and decided before our visit to avoid the area around St Mark's Square. For the most part, those things of interest to us were not overwhelmed by tourists, and it was wise to stick to the Dorsoduro area, which in every respect a more pleasant area for mooching. In walking around the San Marco district, one simply has to accept the facat of the crowded, narrow streets. Thank God the big cruise ships have been banned from the S Marco Basin and nearby waterways. The timing of our trip was linked to attendence of a production of Don Giovanni at La Fenice Opera house, which was outstanding, and was the highlight of our trip.

Venice is a beautiful city with lots to see, but it was completely overrun with tourists, and we were not even there in the busiest months! Public transportation was a nightmare. We will probably never return which is sad because we did not get to experience all of Venice.

This is one of the most romantic cities on the planet. I will never get sick of coming here, nor get tired of endlessly wandering its narrow meandering alleyways and canals. There will always be more to do and see in Venezia than there will be time for.

Venice is a wonderful, beautiful, and unique city, but you need to accept it on its own terms. It's a city of canals and narrow alleys, all of necessity. You travel mostly by boat and then walk through narrow but fascinating narrow lanes with surprises at every turn.
I highly recommend avoiding Venice, and the crowds, between mid-May and mid-October. The crowds at the major locations are intense, and it can be hot in the summer. We made a previous visit in mid-April a few years ago, and it was delightful (although we were lucky to have no rain). We'll visit again if we can.
We loved the hotel - situated extremely close to the centre St Marks square , had a nice atmosphere with stylish furnishings. Our room was elegant and comfortable (though the water was not hot enough to take a shower in the morning or evening- this is the only reason why I rated the place very good instead of exceptional). The breakfast was exceptional - coffee, a wide choice of baked goods, delightful pastries, savoury food etc. We travelled a lot in Italy and I would rate the breakfast as one of the best we have experienced in Italy so far.
Where do I begin. This was our best stay in Italy. The apartment was spacious for the 4 of us. The staff Elisabetta was so friendly and responded to us immediately when we had questions. It was very convenient to walk from the hotel to San Marco Square and other areas. There were a few restaurants and bar nearby too. Breakfast was prepared one day ahead and topped up for the next day (cereal, milk, biscuits, yogurt etc.). They also had a small game room filled with board games and some books we could borrow during our stay.
Without a doubt, Casa Renata is one of the best accommodations since I travel in Italy. The location of the apartment is ideal for visiting Venice, close to all the important places, and also close to the ferry station where you can take the ferry for another islands near Venice (Burano, Murano, Lido etc).
Mr. Enrico is a delight, very helpful with all the information that you need.
The apartment is equipped with everything you need, even more!
I will definitely come back here when I'll visit Venice again!
The staff was very welcoming! They spoke English and gave us terrific information about which attractions in Venice were a must to see. The room was in a great location near St. Marcos, the room was beautiful, the and the beds were comfortable. It’s been EXTREMELY HOT in Italy, so when the description says air conditioning, we expected the room to be cool all the way through, and it was perfect!! The bathroom was nice and big. We appreciated the shower water pressure, very much.
The room had everything we needed and then some! The room is very spacious and having a washer was extremely convenient as we were traveling to a few cities in Italy and this wasn’t our first stop. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful getting us to and from the train station. He set us up with one of their tour options and gave great restaurant recommendations. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We will definitely be booking again on our next trip to Venice.
A fantastic beautiful hotel. Centrally located. Exceptionally clean and excellent speedy customer interaction. Prices in April very reasonable for such fabulous location and luxury. Breakfast the best ever had in Italy. Comfy huge beds, marble bathrooms and historic Italian decor. Take the water taxi from the airport right to the hotel. Amazing. Definitely recommend and would return
Great stuff, Great room Cleanliness and the best is Great View on Grand Canal. Hotel have direct access from Canal you can get from airport or train station with boat taxi straight to Hotel from Canal.
You can book in Hotel Gondola Ride straight from Hotel with Glass of Prosecco.
Definitely when we back to Venice we will back to this Hotel was a pleasure to stain in this Hotel
Accommodation in Venice is extremely expensive in general. I think that Hotel Rossi is the best place to choose if you are on a budget. It doesn't have to offer much(no view, it is a small room, a little bit old and the beds were cots, the bathroom was nothing special) but if you want to rent a rather cheap place to have a room to shower and sleep is the perfect choice.
We booked a room with a view overlooking the Grand Canal and it was well worth the upgrade! This was our first trip to Italy and starting in Venice was so much fun. The hotel was everything we had hoped for and we look forward to recommending it to our friends. We hope to return to your beautiful hotel again. The staff were all amazing!
I loved everything about the hotel. Nice staff, super clean, comfortable bed. Location is good. Comparing with a 4☆ hotel where I stayed in Milano, this was luxury level.
The breakfast is typical for Italy, very simple - like croissants, boiled eggs, a coffee, sweets, and juice & tea, some fruits. Not suitable for vegans.
It was big and the people were extremely nice and helpful, and quick to respond. It felt more homey than a hotel, and very private as well. I went with family but it would be a great place for a couple as well. I visited a few places in Italy and this was my favorite spot so far.
Everything was wonderful! The staff were helpful with great recommendations and the location was awesome, close to a lot of attractions and made it easy to explore some less touristy regions in Venice. Our room also had one of the bigger showers I've seen in Italy.
Fantastic location in Venice, my favourite hotel out of our 2 weeks in italy. Really big space with perfect air con. Loved the location for exploring Venice.
Staff were very friendly and thought the price was super for a touristy spot in August. Fab!
The convenience of this location for my parents was incredible. They really liked staying there and being so close to the train gave them an opportunity to fully explore. They really enjoyed staying at this hotel for their surprise Italy trip.
We loved the ease of getting into the room, the breakfast was great. It was in a mellow neighborhood for Venice with plenty of great restaurants in the hood. Gianluca was THE BEST host we have had on our 5-week tour of Italy.
the breakfast was great, everything you need is given, Really the best one we had in Italy
the rooms are very clean
we can absolutely recommend the hotel
the station for the vaparetto is directly in front of the hotel
It had a nice spread of breakfast, probably the best I got during my entire stay in Italy. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel that has super friendly staff and very clean.
Beautiful and cozy hotel in the heart of Venice. Great location, breakfasts are a little meager, but these are the features of Italy..)) Perfect stuff!
