For twenty years, I have chosen to stay in Treviso as a base whilst visiting this part of Italy. It is my favourite walled city, and the canals flowing through it add to its uniqueness. A small town , not much to do. 2-3 days is more then enough to visit downtown. There is a good connection between treviso central and Venice , the train takes only 30 minutes. The staff was extremely nice, specially in comparison with stressed Venetians. We were visiting Venice and took a short 35min train, to then found the hotel on train station's doorstep. We went for dinner on the city. The city center is also lovely to walk in after the very crowded streets of Venice. Treviso is really charming. Next day we took a short 10min drive to the Airport. I can only recommend!!

I booked private room that was big,very clean like a surgery area, with all facilities. Indeed the way to airport is less than 10 min walk...i used different way than hotel suggested one...but was very early ibthe morning with no cars on motorway. There's also one garden area that should be very nice during spring or summer.

We also made arrangements with the staff for a ride to the airport with our luggage which was extremely handy for our early morning flight. There was a heat wave and the A/C worked great! There is paid parking available at the facility that you need to reserve in advance behind gated lot.
