Brindisi is a lovely small town, full of charm and beautiful views. You pretty much can cover everything in one day, leaving the remaining days for day trips to nearby locations. The only issue is that if you are not driving, you are not going to be able to fully experience all that this town has to offer. We personally took the train to Lecce, Gallipoli, Bari and Polignano a Mare. Food is excellent literally in EVERY PLACE. Totally recommend.

Brindisi is a small town in the region with an airport...
Brindisi is a small town in the region with an airport served by the low cost airlines. You can choose this place if you want a quiet get away where you can just chill. The town itself is a half day visit max, if you are into sight seeing. Having said that, since the town has an airport and a train station, this could be your hub from where you can visit the other interesting places of the region. the Train Italia's website and the ticket vending machine will give you the mode of transport (both bus and train) and timing if you punch in the destination. Bus services to other towns are mostly once in 30 or 60 mins. So start early and finish early. Lecce, Alborobello, Locorotondo are doable. If you want to visit other places, I would suggest start early. People are friendly here.

Brindisi centre is 13 minutes drive from the Airport. We enjoyed our short stay there before exploring Puglia. We decided to return to the City on our last day as we loved the restaurants along the port, particularly Betty’s

A relatively quiet port town, more popular with Italian tourists than foreigners. Great for an authentic Italian holiday experience- not too fancy but with a pretty promenade and a good choice of restaurants and shops. Good train connection with some attractions of the area, but not all of them (there are different railway companies in this area and some more distant journeys need good planning). Be sure to use the water tram to cross the harbour- it costs one bus ticket and it's very pleasant:)

Brindisi is nice place but I felt more a stop off place on the way to alternative locations. We travelled to Monopoli and Alberobella by train and both were amazing . Also took a train to Lecce which is nice too but we arrived when most shops/restaurants were closed for siesta so hard to really give a true picture. We were slightly disappointed with the food generally.. plenty of pizzerias but found it hard to get spaghetti bolognaise or Lasagna on any menu.

Wandering through Brindisi’s narrow streets filled with...
Wandering through Brindisi’s narrow streets filled with quaint houses and Baroque buildings is like stepping back in time. The town's stunning architecture is a blend of different influences, reflecting its rich cultural heritage. Visit the Cathedral of Brindisi, with its beautiful blend of Romanesque and Gothic styles, or admire the majestic Palazzo Granafei-Nervegna, a noble residence turned contemporary art museum. The Column of St. Lawrence is another architectural gem, standing tall since the Roman times. Brindisi’s location along the blue waters of the Adriatic Sea grants it access to breathtaking beaches and a picturesque coastline. We selected the Hemingway Beach.
Super owner welcomed us with focaccia for dinner first day and Czech radio played in the room ,), he did wait for us till midnight and accepted late check in. Suprised us again with fresh croissant for breakfast on the last day and gingerbread for kids. Stefano is very helpful, he shared lot of local tips. Flat is in quiet location but close to train station, bus station to beach and town centre to walk. AC and wifi working well, double bed comfy.
Susanna is a lovely, open-hearted person willing to help for anything and everything. The vibe is very homey and location is nice having quick access to the airport, beaches (with a bike that Susanna can lend you!), and the attractions such as the Monumento. It's a tranquil residential area and worth a visit. There are sunbeds in the garden and you can do your laundry for an extra cost. Susanna also offers a good deal taxi service.
The people managing the place were adorable. The room and the bathroom were spacious enough, the living room as well. The gated parking place was appreciated considering the neighborhood. The view from the terrasse is quite amazing if you can abstract the nearby view on the Brindisi shipyard. Although very close to the airport, we haven't been incommoded at all. Another good point... very close to the beach front!
Absolutely brilliant b&b. The property is beautiful, spotless and very spacious-extremely comfortable bed and excellent facilities. Andrea the host is charming-he was very helpful with suggestions and helped us plan our holiday perfectly. Breakfast was delicious at a local cafe. The area is quaint and interesting and we loved our holiday in Brindisi. Would definitely recommend this b&b and plan to return.
The room was very comfortable, although small but you have all you need. The colors and ambiance give relaxation. The room was very clean and got a cleaning service during our stay.
The location is great, around 6 minutes walk from the train station.
Francesco is a super host, very nice person and very responding.
If i go back to Brindisi, I will definitely book Alis Home.
The B&B exceeded our expectations greatly. All the appliances are new, very clean, the staff super friendly and eager to help out to figure out transportation etc. The room was beautiful. Also the location was great, close by to the beach (5 minutes by bus, bus stop in front of the B&B) and to the city center, which is reachable with a lovely boat. Will definitely come back!!
This accommodation was beyond any expectations I had of it. so thoughtfully prepared, decorated. proper joy staying there and I will probably come to Brindisi big part because of the accommodation itself. I do travel a lot and experience a variety of b&b sand hotels - but this was really excellent and on the top of all I have seen so far. highly recommend!
5 minutes to the marina and main streets. All great for this price. Clean bathroom. Fully equipped. Everything was old (furniture), but good enough for its value and very clean. The staff did their best to help us with everything. Amazing balcony with great Seaview. Wi-Fi was solid
There is an Airport Shuttle, just in front of the hotel which was amazing.
The property was fantastic, the city beautiful, the food divine. Our vacation in Brindisi couldn't have been better and we loved every minute of it. The hospitality and friendliness of Carmelo, the host, was without equal. I'd rate the stay 11/10 if it was possible.
Hotel is located very good in the city center of Brindisi and just a 10 minute walk away from the main train station. The Hotel has a very nice, palais-like old charme and comfortable beds. The breakfast bufet was also ideal. Nothing to complain about!
Perfect location for both exploring the city and travelling to beaches. Daniele, the host, provided us with good recommendations re places to eat, visit and practical information about transport. Breakfast was supplied and restocked.
Very friendly family run hotel in a very central location in Brindisi. We checked in using their self service check in, which was an easy and straightforward process.
Thank you for the complimentary breakfast!
We’ll return again.
Palazzo Pinto is like staying at a personal 5 star hotel. Everything was literally exquisite. Maurizio and Anna were charming hosts, always helpful with recommendations for meals and transport, not to mention great conversation.
The owner was amazing. He picked me up at the rental car agency and would not accept any payment.Organized an early morning taxi for us and took our bags in his own vehicle at no charge.Three minutes from Brindisi airport.
