The hotel was in a great location, the staff went out of their way to be helpful, the room was spotless, and the breakfast was lovely. Would love to return some day.
The Antica Dimora Mantova dates back to the 17th century and offers beautifully restored accommodations with modern facilities in a convenient location not far from Mantua train station.
A design hotel set in a 19th-century building in Mantua, Casa Poli offers stylish rooms, a courtyard garden, and free Wi-Fi throughout. The city center is 10 minutes’ walk away.

Breakfast was very good, very comfortable room and very convenient location, 10 minutes walking distance far from Palazzo Ducale
Located in Mantova, a few steps from Rotonda di San Lorenzo, Grand Hotel San Lorenzo has accommodations with free bikes, private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

I had the opportunity to visit the main attractions, but I'd like to do the boat trip.
In the weekend I was there, there was also a special initiative "Mantova fiorita" with some flowerists in downtown with Mantova flowers and plants which gave a colourful booster to the town!

The city is beautiful, clean and very well run.
The city is beautiful, clean and very well run. Free parking on the edge of town and free shuttle service into centre. For us, it's the city itself more than its many museums and sights that makes the visit worthwhile: wonderful parks, lake-shore, squares and old streets only a short distance from the bustle of the main tourist axis. You can walk pretty much everywhere but the public transport system is good. The free shuttle will bring you from the centre to the Palazzo Te (1.5 km from the Palazzo Ducale). To be honest, I preferred the huge park and its cafés to the palace itself, which was full of school tours that day!

Mantova has been the biggest surprise of our 8-day trip through Tuscany and its surroundings. We came here at the insistence of friends who live in Italy, and we are thrilled. The city is beautiful, with impressive architecture, monumental squares, and a lively atmosphere that pulses through its streets. There aren't too many tourists around, which makes it even more appealing. We happened to arrive at a momentous time when the Mantova football club secured the top spot in Serie C, and we witnessed the celebrations and festivities throughout the city center, adding to the vibrant feel of the place. A culturally rich and safe place with excellent restaurants, interesting people, and opportunities for a longer stay. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful city with plenty to see for a few days and much longer could have been spent just wandering the historic, cobbled streets and enjoying the plentiful restaurants, cafes and bars. It was off season so quiet - not crowded like Verona. We visited the theatre, of which there are several, and most of the sights, but 2 days wasn't enough time to cover everything. No car needed - walked everywhere. Train station was very central.

Amazing town, small, but with a lot to see and enjoy.
Amazing town, small, but with a lot to see and enjoy. A mixture of Emilia and Lombardy culture, especially about food, but with its own local exclusivity. I wonder why I've never visited earlier in my life!
I have never written a review before but our stay at Casa Margarita was very special.
Barbara communicated with us before our, arrival and worked with us about where to park and gave us info on how to navigate the city..Our room was very spacious. the location was right in the center. Breakfast included ham, cheese, yogurt, croissants and more. . Barbara was warm and gracious, just a lovely host. Mantova is a wonderful city, definitely worth seeing. Stay at Casa Margarita you will not be disappointed.
A nice stay in a cosy private house was like staying in an Italian family with a fantastic host Roberto who was more like a grandfather to his guests. The vintage room was spacious and convenient, beds very comfortable. The breakfast room was nicely furnished. Breakfast was served with much care. There is a guest kitchen if needed. A bus to Mantova centre takes 7-8 minutes.
This hotel it is a quite small and very well managed, it is divided in two main buldings distan maybe 50 or 60 mts between them, near a big parking lot and near at least 3 places where you can have a good local and traditional food.
Staff very very polite and helpfully
Very close to downtown, indeet walking no mora than 10 mintes you re in the heart of Mantova
Great Bed and Breakfast with a very friendly and welcoming owner.
The room was spacious, well equipped and modernly furnished like the whole hotel.
Good location for a stopover (not far from the highway) but also to explore the beautiful city of Mantova (less than 10 min by car to the city center).
We enjoyed our stay :)
The apartment is in the center, a 5-minute walk from the theater, the same time you will arrive from the railway station.
The host is a nice person, I made a mistake in the booking dates and he came to me in a friendly manner, he didn't let me out of the house.
I recommend everyone to visit Mantova and Flavio.
The location and the room itself were nice. Short walk from downtown Mantova.
With the codes it was easy to access the building and room as well.
The management helped set up our ZTL passes.
The management provided wine and sandwiches some afternoons as an extra.
The housekeeper was very nice and helpful.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking garage is very secure. Hotel location is perfect. Good breakfast, fresh brioche in different flavours, also biological and allergy friendly options. Comfortable and clean rooms with a lot of space and nice views, if you have a room on the front at least.
Excellent breakfast and a very kind host. I am sorry that I could not have stayed longer. People who I knew staying at local hotels did not get this level of service. Great location close to the railway station, and five minute's walk from the town centre.
The room was very nice, clean and spacious. The bathtub was huge plus. We have been Italy for a few weeks and the size of the shower and having the whirlpool bathtub was a huge plus! The location is great. Right in the heart of everything.
It was one of the cheapest we could find.
We used the hotel as a mere "home base" for exploring the city and region, and to be honest, that is all what it could be used for, since the hotel would not qualify as entertaining to stay in.
The place is very cosy, comfortable, and calm - great for both work and rest. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful all along. If I am ever back to Mantova, I will go back without hesitating. Grazie mille, Roberto et Marina!
A perfect find. Modern, spacious, comfortable, in the recently restored historic 14th century Uberti Palazzo, in the central square, facing the Ducal Palace, adjacent to Mantova’s Duomo. Highly recommended.
It was a great small boutique hotel close to the centre of Mantova. I absolutely loved my stay there, clean, comfortable and the staff went out of their way to assist.
