Clean, friendly staff, great location next to the train, small but tasty breakfast, the smell of the baked goods welcome you in the morning
Easy to reach from the freeway, close to the ferry for the Cinque Terre, Hotel Corallo is centrally located in La Spezia, 10 minutes by bus from the train station.

The staff was extremely friendly and for example hinted a cheaper parking slot in front of the hotel that I had missed vs. their own carage. Hotel was easy to access with car and was in ok location for our purpose (just to stay overnight before venturing to Cinque Terre next day). Breakfast wasn't exactly plentiful but adequate for our needs.
Located in the center of La Spezia, a 7-minute walk from Castello San Giorgio, Albergo Teatro provides air-conditioned rooms and free WiFi. This 1-star hotel offers luggage storage space.

Only three nice things can be said about this hotel, location is great, staff is incredibly nice and there is a few free parking spots right in front of the hotel.
Hotel Novecento is in La Spezia's center, right opposite Lia Museum, and 10 minutes' walk from the train station with direct links to the Cinque Terre area. The hotel provides bright, modern rooms.

Room was nice and clean, and the staff was very friendly.
La Spezia is one of those typical cities of the Liguria Region where colourful houses cover hills and cliffs, providing panoramic views over the sea. Thousands of years of history and a heart open towards the sea have shaped the character of this town surrounded by the 'Cinque Terre'.
Located on the coast of the namesake gulf, its proximity to Genoa has greatly influenced its development and culture. Take a walk uphill from the harbour, and admire the display of architectonic styles in the Old Town. Some of the best hotels in La Spezia are located here, while elegant guesthouses and villas with gulf views can be found in the highest areas.
Must-see sites in the city are the 13th-century Church of Our Lady of the Assumption and St George’s Castle. The ‘Sea Festival’ is organized every summer, and its highlight is the rowing competition ‘Palio del Golfo’, a race between the 13 villages of the gulf. Departing from the port of La Spezia, boats can take you to the enchanted ‘Cinque Terre’.
The harbour is a 15-minute walk from La Spezia Central Station, and Genoa’s Cristoforo Colombo Airport is 105 km away. While planning your trip, check out Booking.com’s accommodation deals in La Spezia.

We spent four nights in La Spezia which was just right for us. We visited Portofino and Cinque Terre and as our hotel was very close to the railway station this was very convenient for travelling .We did contemplate going to Lucca but changed our mind and spent a day in La Spezia. It is a nice wee town with lots of local shops (no big bands only Zara) and lots of lovely restaurants. We had a nice walking through the town, the park and down to the ferry port and had a lovely lunch. We came back to La Spezia every night to eat as this was convenient and as I said had a good choice of restaurants at reasonable prices. There is also the regular ferry to and from Cinque Terre which is a great trip.

La Spezia is always presented as a working port , with no tourist value. We found it to be a good looking , relaxed city , plenty of eateries and cafes , pedestrian areas to walk and a great transport hub. While my friends did the Cinque Terre walk , I made a very easy 90 min journey by train to Lucca.
Infact , it was very nice to be in a town that was just going about its own business.

I have been to La Spezia before.
I have been to La Spezia before. It is very cosmopolitan and I particularly like the traffic free pedestrian area in the centre. Lots of lovely shops. Great for access to boat and rail trips to The Cinque Terre, Lerici and Portovenere

We are a family of 3 with a small child of 4 years age. We planned our itinery based on the weather forecast. We visited Cinque Terre for 1.5 days, followed by Pisa + Lucca on a day and rounded our trip by visiting the top attractions in La Spezia for few hours. I liked visiting the technical naval museum, crossing The Thaon di Revel Bridge walking along ,Costantino Morin Promenade, strolling through Via Del Prione & Corso Cavour. My son loved playing at the play area in Public Gardens. We loved eating Farinata @ Murphy's in La Spezia.

La Spezia was a great place to be based to visit Cinque Terre. The town does have a lot of graffiti though, which we initially regarded as being off putting, however we did not feel unsafe when we were there.

La Spezia is a great place to stay if doing the Cinque Terre trail. It is a nice spot with lots of shops and restaurants. November seems to be a quiet time for the area, we imagine it would have been busier and more atmospheric during summer months.
This hotel is on the doorstep of La Spezia Centrale station, which enabled me to hop from one Cinque Terre village to another in 5 mins. The host was an absolute sweetheart, with a huge infectious smile, she was really accomodating. She suggested places to visit which really helped, provided a map and train timetable too. Loved my room (named Corniglia). The room, bathroom and bed were clean, with gorgeous decor that added a personal touch. The host even allowed me to check in at 12 because my room was ready with no extra charge.
The hotel is just opposite the central station in La Spezia and a perfect starting point for a visit to Cinque Terre. My room was a single room, it was small, but comfortable and the bed was comfy and the shower/bathroom facillities were fine. The breakfast was basic, but with options of both Italian and Continental style dishes. The personal was nice and friendly and very helpful for any questions, and I could leave my luggage there for the day on the day on my departure. Very good value for money.
The apartment was great. I didn’t expect much because I think the pictures often look better than the reality of apartments and hotel rooms I’ve booked but this apartment truly exceeded my expectations. Beautiful view from the balcony, the hosts were the kindest people and were very helpful with thing concerning the apartment as well as recommendations for our visit to La Spezia and cinque terre, and a apartment with everything we needed. Very close to the train station which is a huge plus.
- Staff was very friendly. We arrived around the time the match of the Euro2020 finals between England and Italy started. The guy who checked us in was obviously super excited to go and see the game, but still took his time to give us all the necessary information. We really appreciated this! They also found us a free parking spot.
- The room was very clean and cleaned daily.
- The location was perfect to visit Cinque Terre by train, as well as to reach the center of La Spezia by foot.
We asked to change room which wasn't a problem.
Nice hotel location.
Nice view on La Spezia bay/harbor from the room's balcony, swimming pool, dining/breakfast area.
Cleanliness of the hotel.
Quiet room.
Nice continental breakfast (smoked salmon).
La Spezia is a nice town itself to go out for dinner, to shop, ...
Central location of La Spezia: boat, train to Le Cinque Terre.
The hotel was excellent - the standard of décor, helpfulness and friendliness of the staff was top class. They provided a really good breakfast with amazing views down over the port of La Spezia. The room facilities were excellent, really clean and of good quality. The standard of the outdoor facilities were also excellent with the pool and furniture to take advantage of the views.
Location was less than 5 mins walk from la spezia central station. It was a easy walk down the street. Owners of the place were friendly and communicated well, we arrived earlier than check-in time and the room was prepared and ready for us. Instructions were also simple and easy to follow. Room was really clean and as per photos. Will come back if I were to visit Italy again!
We arrived at the hotel in the afternoon and were met by Daniela. She provided us with the keys and information on the area. She was lovely. The hotel is located on a small road a bit away from the main town. There was a lovely view of La Spezia from the balcony. There was a communal kitchen as well as a fridge in the room. The room was extremely clean and comfortable.
Perfect location. La Spezia isn't the most beautiful city in Italy by a longshot, but the hotel is in the nicest area and is just five minutes by foot from the train station... making it absolutely ideal for taking the extremely convenient train to visit the Cinque Terre. The hotel itself is modern, clean, calm and staffed by rather extraordinarily nice staff.
If you want to hike and enjoy the nature it is perfect, but if you want to see la spezia and visit restaurants for example, then it is not
Many friendly guests, it is easy to socialize
No problem to find a parking lot
The price is high on the first view, but Italy is a bit expensive in my experience, do the price here is not bad
The reason we booked here was the proximity to the train station to take us to Cinque Terre. It really couldn't have been closer, almost over the train station! However, there was no noise from trains once inside hotel or room.
There were restaurants and bars within easy walking distance of the hotel.
Parking is at a premium in La Spezia so it was great to have a spot right outside the hotel. The room is very quiet so we all slept very well. The location is great, check-in and check-out were friendly but efficient and fast, and we would stay again.
The room was very clean but on the small/cramped side. Check-in person was friendly and efficient. We had a car and there was free parking which was nice, but the road all the way up to the hotel was steep and narrow. It had great views of the city.
The staff. Everyone is very kind and helpful. The girls at the front desk were very knowledgeable about how to get around and always with a big smile.
The hotel was very well located. Breakfast was great. The whole facility is very clean.
The staff in this hotel is really great, smiling, always helping and with a big deal of service. This is a simple hotel, easy to find by car coming to La Spezia. They have a shuttle bus going from the hotel and downtown. Nice and clean.
It's close to train station, about 5 minutes walking.
The host is very helpful. He contacted me via WhatsApp and met me at the door. Told me all about the nearby sites.
Hotel is very nice and clean also
The staff! Five stars
The location is quite in a working person neighborhood. If you want to get a deal for how the average Italian lives. With out the tourist vibe in your face. This hotel is perfect.
It was our best stay in Italy ! Marina is so nice and gave us the best advices and instruction to amazing trip in La Spezia !
The room was clean and the location is great!
A beautiful modern hotel with parking which can be an issue in Italy, Dennis the manager could not have been a better host we would highly recommend this hotel.
