LikedBeautiful hotel in a classical Florence building located close to the main tourist attractions, yet one step back from the crowded areas. Complemented by an inner garden and a rooftop terrace where one can enjoy picturesque views of the city and the nearby Giardino di Boboli. Huge size rooms, excellent breakfast with lots of choices, and very friendly staff.

LikedThe room was beautiful and the hotel itself is an interesting adaptation of an old building and I really liked it. Facilities in the rooms were fantastic and it was all nice and clean. But just like people, they can be beautiful and yet very unfriendly.

DislikedThe service and friendliness was extremely poor. I was prepared to let it go despite three members of staff being difficult and surly but when the receptionist decided to lecture me on check out that was the last straw. I can’t remember ever writing a bad review of a Hotel as I know how damaging it can be. But the truth is on this occasion I very disappointed at paying a reasonably high price and being made to feel very unwelcome.

LikedVery, very large room. Hotel in a great location about 100m south of Ponte Vecchio and next to Petti Palalce. Wonderful roof top terrcae bar and restaurant with a superb view over the city to the north and the Petti Palace just south.

DislikedHaving to pay in cash for the room tax. Florence was very busy, possibly because of the Italian banl holiday, so long queses everywhere.
