Beautiful hotel in a unique restored historic building with a very high level of personal service from the friendly and attentive staff and management. Our Junior Suite had outrageously high ceilings, an enormous bathroom and a beautiful view of Lecce from the balcony that we enjoyed every day. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and abundant, with changing homemade treats every day like quiche, pinsa and cakes, the option for made-to-order eggs and nice selections of cheese, charcuterie and pastries. The rooftop breakfast and bar area was also a great place to chill and we enjoyed good cocktails there for aperitivo several times.

Very unique, spacious and peaceful place. It does feel a bit more like an events space but the vibe was so peaceful it was hard to leave. I ended up with an upgraded room which was fab. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful

Lecce dazzles every visitor offering one of Italy’s best preserved walled historic centres. Its wonders include tasteful traditional cuisine, rich wines, and charming shops. Located near the crystalline waters of both the Adriatic and Ionian beaches, it is a perfect base to explore the Salentine Peninsula.
Its origins are unclear, but it is believed that dates back to the 12th or 11th century BC, when Italic tribes founded a settlement nearby, which Romans later occupied and relocated to its current position. The pages of its history are filled by Byzantine rulers, several invasions, a Norman rebirth, and an annexation to the Kingdom of Sicily.
Its distinctive Baroque style is combined with well-preserved Roman remnants. Don’t miss the historic centre during sunset, when the light creates a perfect contrast between the blue sky and the mild-yellow colour of the limestone buildings. St Oronzo Square houses the Roman Amphitheatre, while the outstanding Holy Cross Basilica is a must. Don’t miss the magic of staying in a hotel or B&B in Lecce’s Old Town.
The city is serviced by the local railway station, while Brindisi Airport is 45 km away. Whether you’re searching for rural accommodation in the surroundings of Lecce, a resort on the nearby beaches, or a cosy guest house in the centre, check out the deals available on Booking.com.

Lecce is a beautiful city with a rich history and gorgeous architecture. It's not so big as to feel overwhelming or chaotic, however. It has a calm and chill vibe that larger Italian cities farther to the north don't possess. It's an easy place to get to know and to feel at home in. More so than the rest of Italy, the far south is on more of a Spanish schedule, shutting down in the afternoon for a few hours before opening back up for the late afternoon and evening. Dinner is typically late - 10 pm or after. People considering a trip to Puglia in general should be adaptable in their eating schedules.
Lecce is not on the sea but is only 30 minutes from each side of the Salento peninsula. The two coastlines are quite different and offer different experiences; both are worth exploring at length. However, one will need a car. Fortunately, car rentals are easy to come by and are quite affordable by European or North American standards.

Lecce… and especially Dimora San Giuseppe… were a wonderful surprise!
I was originally planning to stay 4 nights here and 4 nights in Bari. First I asked if I could keep my room for 2 more nights… and the decided to skip Bari altogether and just stay in Lecce.
The quirky little restaurant right across the street, dall’antiquario, is small, inviting and serves the best local food you could find. I ate there every night of my extended stay!
If you’re coming to Puglia, stay in Lecce and enjoy the hospitality of Dimora San Giuseppe and the neighboring dall’antiquario! Unforgettable!

Lecce is charming and has many beautiful churches (most every place charges entrance). The old walled in town is compact. I found 2 coliseums. Big problem finding food. They close most everything for at least 3 hrs in the afternoon. Most restaurants don't open till 7pm. Good luck finding anything gluten free. It's a bread & pasta diet.

Beautiful town, small and easy to walk around.
Beautiful town, small and easy to walk around. Lovely restaurants & cafe’s. Al Ventuno was great for apperitifs, lunch & drinks. Very affordable. La Bocca Bistrot had a lovely dining experience - delicious food with a different approach to the Italian cuisine. Recommend. Tranquilo also a lovely restaurant & bar right at the amphitheatre. Overall a great trip to Lecce, recommend 2-3 days.
We’ve spent two fantastic days in Lecce. The hosts were unbelievably nice, the apartment was super clean and very elegant. The bed was very comfortable. Every day we would eat breakfast at the balcony and it felt like a dream. God bless Italy. Dario and Amanda made sure that we felt like at home. Dario reserved us a place in a restaurant that is known for the best bruschetta in Lecce, and it definitely was. He also made sure that we had our deck chairs on the beach. I highly recommend choosing this accommodation.
Thank you sincerely.
Our experience in Lecce would not have been the same had we not stayed in Donna Teresa. Location of the hotel was wonderful. It was close to restaurants, bars, train station and two different free parking areas by walk. The room was so clean and exactly the same as pictures; cozy, well equipped, new. Our host was amazing, lovely and welcoming. We took recommendations for beaches and nice restaurants including wine tips! We tried different local pastries each day during breakfast. Highly recommended!
Dimi House is a fantastic place to stay in Lecce. The shared facilities where you have your breakfast is just absolutely beautiful and super cosy. The rooms are lovely and gives you the perfect romantic feeling, and then the shower is great! 😄 would definitely come back! The owner is also very sweet and helpful, and made good recommendations even to other great destinations in Italy. You will not be disappointed. It’s great value for money and the best place we stayed in on our whole trip 🫶
My husband & I stayed in the Polliscastro while on our honeymoon in Lecce & it really was luxury accomodation.
The staff were fantastic - Mateo & Tania couldnt have done more for us & took the time to speak with us about the city.
The room was stunning. The hotel is beautifully renovated & fits in perfectly with its ancient surroundings.
The breakfast was a real experience - lots of choice. I couldnt recommend this hotel highly enough. Will definately be back to tay here again
One of the best places we stayed in traveling in southern Italy. The appartment was super clean, modern and well designed, well equipped. Air conditioner in the room. The accommodation was located in a great residential spot-near the super market and laundry service, 3min walk to the Old Town and 5min walk to the train station. We felt like locals living in Lecce. We met the staff in person-lovely girls and very welcoming. I would recommend the place in Lecce.
Wonderful stay from start to finish. check in was seamless with an informative overview of Lecce and nearby attractions and complimentary apéritifs and cookies. the room, in our case the one bedroom apartment, was fantastic—beautifully decorated, lots of space, very comfortable bed, and overall the type of place you don’t want to leave. the hotel was a highlight of our stay in Lecce—more than just a place to sleep. a destination unto itself. lovely all around.
The location, staff, facilities, service. Francesco, our host, went so far out of his way to accommodate us and to ensure that our stay was pleasurable. I have syed in many of the world’s best hotels that boast 5 stars and above during a 30 year career that required me to travel globally over 250 days per year and can honestly say that I had never experienced such genuine hospitality and professionalism until my stay at this humble B&B in the heart of Lecce.
The hotel was 100% value for money and everything was at the level it should to make a comfortable staying there. Friendly and easygoing personnel with a genuine smile, a gentle touch of luxury everywhere (large spaces, new materials around, large buffet, large rooms and bath), sound isolation (both from the exterior as well as the interrior, we could hardly hear an ambulance going by on the road utside). Much more than initially expected.
Everything about this hotel was great. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with a variety of options. The hotel is only eleven years old and looks as if it was built yesterday. It was a walk to the old city of Lecce. The restaurant food was very good and there was another very good restaurant a short walk away. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
Anna Maria is a lady focused on her guests and her property. Everything comfortable, clean, above all the location is 2km away from Lecce center so it calm and peaceful and of course... free car parking! Right down the apartment(in Italy you have to pay in every step of your way in case you re on a roadtrip and need to park) - or else there s a bus station right next to the property. Great choice.
Everything was spot on. Rooms and facilities were amazing, elaborate breakfast. 10/10 hospitality, absolutely lovely people. I would definitely recommend Palazzo Console if you are planning to visit Lecce. Located on perfect spot, around 8-10mins pleasant walk to Basilica di Santa Croce.
Palazzo Console is my new hands down favourite accommodation in Italy.
The location is perfect! We loved walking into the old town. Parking on the street was very easy. The Palazzo is beautifully decorated and very clean. Wonderful breakfast offerings that were delicious. Beatrice was extremely helpful. She is a lovely host who made suggestions and reservations to make our stay in Lecce perfect. We will be back!
We got a better room thanks to Booking.com and Genius status. The rooms are large and spacious but not as beautiful as in the picture. The city center is a 10 minute walk. Lecce is a beautiful baroque town with lots of small shops and restaurants. Free parking is available in front of the hotel. WiFi is good speed.
We had a great stay in Lecce at this terrific guest house. Such a great location, with a room overbooking the square and the life happening there. A big plus was having early checkin at 12 noon! A comfortable and spacious room with a large shower - a rarity in Italy 🇮🇹. Highly recommended.
This is a gorgeous boutique hotel ideally located in the centre of Lecce old town. The rooms were very comfortable and the whole hotel was beautifully designed. But the most outstanding thing about this hotel is the staff - they could not have been more lovely and helpful. Thank you!
The location is perfect for a visit to Lecce. It is located right outside the old part of town. It is easy to drive to the hotel and was not hard to find street parking nearby. It is just a few minutes and you are in the best part of Lecce.
Wonderful apartment in the old town of Lecce. Beautifully decorated place- very modern interior of an old building. Central to everything. Highly recommended!
Breakfast was very good, personal helpful. Room is a bit tired but spacious and well decorated. We did like it. Nice place to stay in Lecce, close to old town.
