Cozy feel in the Center—cobblestones, porticos, Mercato Albinelli, Enzo Ferrari Museum, incredible food, particularly Uva d’Oro restaurant (went to dinner there twice as it was so enjoyable) and Sant’Agostino three times for late afternoon aperitivi.

This was a really lovely city with an extensive pedestrian town centre. The Duomo is a highlight, the covered market is charming (it re-opens in the evening with a variety of what seem like pop-up restaurants) and the very grand town hall was worth a visit. You are spoilt for choice for restaurants - we liked Stallo Pomodoro and Da Danilo for dinner- both had outside terraces, and for lunch, Aldina, a very traditional no frills trattoria on the first floor near the market. Blums, a prize-winning gelateria, served the best ice cream I had on this trip.

Really a treat, Modena deserves to be better known.
Really a treat, Modena deserves to be better known. A beautiful and walkable city, with magnificent food, good and variegated shops, and did I mention the magnificent food? The Galleria Estense is an excellent museum (with all information in Italian and English). Opening hours for churches are a bit intransparent (and not always kept), but the city is definitely worth a trip!

A beautiful town not overrun by tourists or tourism, with good restaurants, lovely sites, and extremely well kept buildings. It is easily walkable (no tourist cars in the center). If there was something to avoid, I could not find it.
The place is located in a quiet area of family houses not far from center of Modena (approx. 5 mins by car).
The room is extremely clean, very well maintained, with a very comfortable bed (mosquito nets available on all windows).
The breakfast was really outstanding, full of home-made cakes and pastries. You are offered with plenty of choices + a very good coffee.
The accommodation is run by a very kind elderly couple, ready to give any advice/help with everything.
You can use a private parking area to park your car.
A nice villa has been changed to a hotel without staff. The automatic check-in is very convenient. Parking space is available, but we were lucky to have arrived in time to take the biggest one for our big car. The room and bathroom are nicely arranged and clean, airconditioning is a bit loud but efficient. Unfortunately, we didn't realize there was a coffee machine and kettle for tea in the basement until right before we were about to leave. You can walk in the inner city in 5-7 minutes.
The breakfast buffet is amazing. It is hard to imagine more variety. Beautiful fresh fruit, an array of pastries, breads, cheeses, cereals, types of milk, yoghurt, hot drinks. Of course, coffee (this is Italy), but also tea pots and a kettle for tea drinkers, a wonderful “Wallace & Gromit” toaster, butter, jam, eggs. A delight. Good air conditioning, centrally located. Really a lovely hotel.
Beautiful room in a B&B full of character. Comfortable bed. Great location - short drive to historic center of Modena. Restaurant within walking distance if you don’t want to drive at night. Paolo was the perfect host. Recommended great restaurants, booked tours of cheese factory and balsamic vinegar place, shared lots of information about the area. Fantastic breakfast. Highly recommend.
This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels! The facilities were all fine but what made it exceptional was how helpful and friendly the staff were - everyone was pitch perfect. The hotel was clean, relaxed, friendly and informal. It’s in an ideal location for Modena, food tours and Bologna airport. I hope to return.
I would give more than 10 stars if i could. Amazing hotel at perfect quiet location. Everyone was so kind towards us and our dog. Breakfast was amazing and delicious. Free parking was so helpful. Hotel has an amazing ambient and atmosphere. We will definitely come back.
Thank you for making our stay so special, we will never forget this hotel experience
The room was in an attractive building, very clean and comfortable, with a lovely large shower in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Linens were high quality.
The host was very kind and helpful and did her best to help us with restaurants and a tv that we were unable to work.
very convenient parking.
very nice common area on the lower floor.
It is a gem of a hotel in the heart of old Modena. It is a great location with major sites within short walking distance. Excellent cafés and restaurants close by, including the Mercato Storica Albinelli with food stalls and eateries.
A small but super comfortable hotel with wonderful décor. Excellent breakfast with all-you-can-eat!
Stayed for one night in Modena to visit the Ferrari museum. Hotel is perfectly located for roadtrip with a huge parking lot. The rooms are super clean and look like new. The hotel is in a quiet parklike setting. Kids enjoyed the hot tub to cool down after a hot day. Amazing breakfast buffet!
It was very near to the center, easy to reach by feet😊
The staff was very friendly and kind. It is an old building and the rooms are also old school but i think its matching Modena’s vibe.
We arrived with a CAR, they provided easy parking for us, its a BIGBIG PLUS!!
We loved it!
Excellent premises. A renovated historical building. Beautiful. Clean. Has a car parking - 15 Euro per night - add it to the price. The house has a modern elevator. Very nice and communicative staff. BIG SHOWER - my first in Italy. Excellent location. A real winner.
Great location and central. I like the fact that parking are included as its a real issue in Italy. The place is easy to find and the directions are great. The bathroom is spacious. The host is really nice and gives great assistance.
Super friendly and kind host Paolo made our stay pleasant and perfect in Modena. The rooms are in great shape and top clean. One big plus is the wall box charger for cars.
Most important: The best breakfast we had in Italy so far.
Great location, close to Modena.
Quiet and overall, very comfortable.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Farm animals (rabbit, chicken, duck, donkey, ponies and lamas) on the property are a delight for children.
