LikedLocation was good, staff nice

DislikedVery poor breakfast choice Room was very dated, the bed was a new bed within an antique frame which was bigger by about 6 inches all round meaning when you swung legs out of bed you scraped backs of legs on the wooden frame. Toilet cistern could wake the dead!

LikedThe hotel is very charming and perfectly situated in the middle of Pisa, everything was in walking distance. We had a room on the first floor with view of the river Arno and it was just stunning to look outside and see the river and the historic buildings, especially in the evening. The room was very clean and had lovely antique furniture. The bed was very comfy and had a firm mattress, which i appreciated very much. In every floor of the building there were different pieces of art so it felt like sleeping in a museum. The Wi-fi in the room was good and sufficiently fast for a teenage boy but other guests seemed to have had problemes with it. Please don´t expect a modern hotel with all modern comfort. If you like special and charming hotels from another era, you may find it pleasing.

DislikedThe windows were very old and didn´t close perfectly so it was very, very noisy in the room. It was almost impossible to find sleep because of the traffic and the shouting people in the street. Be sure to bring some kind of hearing protection if you have a room with river view. The breakfast was rather good, when the buffet opens but if you come later, everything is out of stock and will not be refilled. We stayed 5 nights and only got coffee on one single day, because we arrived earlier. So if breakfast is important for you, you have to stand up early. Otherwise you will have to get your breakfast elsewhere or be satisfied with cookies and juice for breakfast.

LikedThe hotel has plenty of artisital charm with every floor having a large lobby displaying uniques artworks. The old characteristics of the building are plentiful however facilities in rooms are tired and in need of repair. The local delivered on the promised river view and close to centre. The staff are welcoming and very helpful.

DislikedThe room was dusty and walls and ceilings were full of cracks. The bed slats had been replaced with a metal sprung base which was not comfortable. Because the windows were single glazed and drafty, it let in a lot of noise from the street, from music and cars. On check in they gave us a key to a room that was already occupied

LikedThe hotel is one piece of history, amazing when you enter, the decoration and style is really amazing. but thats not it... the building is not only old, but everything is. dont expect a room that meet your expectations

DislikedAs many other people wrote, here on booking, and on google, DONT expect hot water or any hot water pressure coming out of the tap. we stayed three nights and had to clean ourselves with towel soaked in soap. there was no other way. Furthermore share the toilet together as after one time flushing you need to wait another hour until the reserviur is filled. the breakfast is ok, but very very limited, and coffee is like water, dont expect italian espresso. There is private parking which was good. 20EUR per day. The staff is ok, but has italian temperament, basically want to answer your questions and close it.

LikedLocation and the fact that the hotel has kept its vintage style and history.

DislikedThe hotel would need some restorations to help keep it in good shape and preserve it for years to come, it really is a little gem.
