I love staying in this hotel, it is now my go to when I am in Florence. Everybody is so helpful and will bend over backwards to make sure guests are taken care of. I can't wait to return.

Our stay at the Helvetia & Bristol was pure casualty as it wasn’t planned. However I’m glad we’ve stayed because everything was perfect. The staff is welcoming and professional at all times, rooms and communal areas are beautifully decorated. The setting is traditional without being Boring. Elegant with a home feel. The location is perfect as all landmarks and best restaurants are within walking distance. We will definitely be back.

Great location in the heart of Florence historic center, rooms are nice with a touch of reinassance style and extremely clean. However for a 5 star i would expect more in terms of facilities and details in the room are quite basics. Helpful staff

LikedThis is a beautiful, classic hotel, sumptuously appointed, but not over the top. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is wonderful. The breakfasts are elegant. (Best croissants of our trip!) The location is perfect, close to everything. Wonderful in almost all respects, BUT . . .
DislikedThe hotel has a problem with noise, especially on the Via del Pescioni side. We were on the second floor, and disturbed during the night by revelers in the street, but especially by the very loud noises of service vehicles starting about 6 am. The hotel must be aware of this, because they provided ear plugs (!) by the bedside. (We should have had the wits to read this ominous sign.) They moved us to a room on the other side for our second night. Avoid rooms overlooking the street! Also, there is no coffee machine in the rooms.

LikedThe staff at Helvetia Bristol could not have been warmer and more accommodating during my four night stay. Their warm welcomes and spot-on suggestions were greatly appreciated. I love this hotel and will definitely return. It is a historic boutique hotel (don't expect large rooms). The location cannot be beat in central Florence.
DislikedThe rooms are small and in need of a little love (new carpet).
