Amazing location near the train station. Great room and furnishings. There was turndown service every day which we didn't realize was part of the stay and was a pleasant surprise!
Hotel Excelsior is a few steps from Pavia Train Station and the city center. It features elegant rooms with parquet floors and LCD TV.

The room is elegant and just the right size for me. I got there by car and they have indoor parking (they park your car for you).
One thing I appreciated is that they didn't change the settings of the driver's seat and rearview mirrors when driving my car. They returned it exactly the way it was.

Pavia is very nice city, with a lot of students and low quantity of tourists. Has quite many places to visit, although nice pathway near the river, Pavia needs to be descovered by feet. As well Milan is reachable easily less than 30 min by train. City has many nice restaurants where local eat every day, you can get lunch deal for 12-15€ per person ant that's include first, second plate glass of wine usually even a dessert. Want to feel more like local take aperitivo in Piazza della Vittoria where coctail will cost like 7-8€ and full plate of snacks included.

A pleasant untouristy city with some lovely old streets and cathedral in the centre. The Certosa, a few miles north, is breathtaking and more stunning than many cathedrals - which is saying something in Italy!
We also used Pavia as a quieter location from which to visit Milan. Frequent trains go there and they are very cheap.

Compact, clean and easy to access with beautiful historic building and a good vibe, a small city with a country feel and not as congested as Milan. A great position to visit the little know ultra-po-pavese region of Borgo Priolo area with its fantastic-not-to-be missed Veciu Alpin in Casteggio

If you plan to visit Milan, visit this lovely town for a day or two! It has a lot of interesting places to go for a walk and opportunities for a scavenger hunt! The people living there are very kind and helpful! For an authentic Italian dinner, visit "Il Piccolo Arcobaleno" pizzeria.

Small city with a calm and nice flair combined with history (university, cathedral, bridge) and good food. Try out the risotto typical for that area. If you are in a rush, one day is enough to see everything.

Beautiful historical city with warm receptive people.
Beautiful historical city with warm receptive people. I stay around University of Pavia. It was a very busy and lively environment, surrounded by shopping malls in the major streets leading to the wide open city centre.
The booking was managed entirely online and via WhatsApp. The host was very responsive and easy to work with. The apartment was large, extremely clean and comfortable The beds were very nice as was the bathroom. We didn't cook, but everything was there to do so. Breakfast was just across the street at a very nice cafe.Would be perfect for a longer stay and/or more guests. It's very close to the station, in a lovely area with lots of shops and restaurants. Pavia is a great little city to visit. Very lively and welcoming.
A very comfortable apartment located in a quiet recently renovated building. The apartment is well presented , immaculately clean nicely furnished, very comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Ideal location within a short walk to the historic centre of Pavia. Very friendly hosts, responded promptly to communications, were present to welcome us, assisted with parking and with any questions. Parking is available in the street and nearby streets. Some spaces are free, others are metered parking.
The location is great, on the river bank in the old city. The apartment has very high ceilings, giving an extra spacious feel in the already roomy place.
From the photos, it's quite clear what to expect.
Great and indispensable: insect screens everywhere, including sliding screens outside the balcony doors.
We were leaving a bit later on the day of our departure, there was no problem leaving the luggage longer to take more time to enjoy Pavia before getting on the train.
Thank you Anna!!
The jacuzzi bath was quite nice, there was never shortage of hot water. There is a walk-in closet. The owner decorated the place in a charming matter. The owner speaks excellent English and she is very friendly in manner. The shared communal area on the first floor has strong wifi. The outside parking is free. It was a convenient location while traveling by the rental car, it was easy to drive to Pavia, Milan and around.
The location is extremely central. I was in Pavia for a workshop at the university and could walk to the main building within 5 minutes. There's also a great bar right outside and lots of food options. As far as location is concerned, this was absolutely perfect. The apartment is also quite large and has everything one would need. Overall, I was very impressed.
Very good place and comfortable beds. Kitchen has everything you need and the shower is small but it has an amazing water pressure. This house is very functional. The best part is the location. You get to see the best of Pavia the very moment you step outside the house. Really Delighted
The owner was incredibly helpful. Even when her hotel was booked, she made calls to help me find a room. The following day, when a room became available, she and her husband were both extremely accommodating and warm. The hotel is beautiful.
The facility was clean, modern. Bed very comfortable. Lots of activities there on the grounds. Pool Great parking, always a problem in Pavia. 10 minutes or so by car from center of town. Good breakfast in the morning. Very quiet.
Great location and if you need a parking there is. The place is very, very clean with lovely people, specially Avital, she is so nice, helpful and hospitality! R&A Minerva Suites is the best choice in Pavia.
Good location close to the station and the centre of Pavia. The room was comfortable enough once we had been given the controlloer for the aircon but the bathroom was small and in need of refurbishment.
Pavia is a beautiful small city, with excellent shopping within 15 min of the apartment, as well as plenty of bars to enjoy an aperitivo. The apartment is equipped to prepare meals and well organized.
I would recommend this hostel, it felt actually felt like a hotel and the staff were nice. Very clean spacious room perfect for what we needed. The bathroom has a bath which was also nice.
Excellent location, with a great view of the plaza and the Duomo. Great ambiance, spacious room. Excellent host, very helpful with tips and assistance to enjoy Pavia
