LikedThe location of the property is amazing, heart of city, walking distance from everything. Rooms are quiet even with the location in busy area, we couldn’t hear anything from traffic or people which was great.

DislikedThe access to the rooms is rather inconvenient, with lots of stairs and hallways, elevator is really small. Rooms are big, but there were few things that didn’t make sense. Appliances that are in room can be plugged only in one hidden plug under the mirror, the rest of the plugs can’t fit. Water switch had a little lever that can to be pressed in order to start the warm water, which we didn’t know and since we expressed the water was cold, hotel stuff didn’t seem to know how it works as well, until next day when they had someone over to check. Since we arrived in one cold week in Florence, our room was freezing cold and when we asked why there is no heating on AC, we got the answer - Turn off the AC as solution. After multiple attempts to resolve this, we got offered portable heater with cable that of course, didn’t fit in wall plug, and had to wait for the adapter. Since I got sick from cold, I asked for another heater as well, but plugging in the second one caused all the electrical circuits to pop out. Young gentleman from reception had a great idea - that one is enough. Meanwhile the door handle fell off. All the physical issues aside, the real problem is attitude and lack of hospitality displayed by people from front desk. We got offered free breakfast and had waved some of the small charges off the bill but that will never compensate the fact that not one single employee apologized for any issue that was brought up to them, instead they minimized it and dismissed it with very condescending tone.

LikedVery friendly staff! They were the biggest plus. Second, the location and the over all design at the hotel. Very beautiful. About the room. I liked the big bathroom with the very nice jacuzzi. It was fresh/ clean and had bathrobes. The bedroom was big as well as the "living room". I liked that there was a coffee maker.

DislikedFor the price of my stay I felt that the accommodation could have been better. Keeping in mind also that I booked with a very good discount meaning someone could have paid a lot more for it as well. So, based on the price,what I think could have been better was the following: Although the room was big there was no proper way of putting your clothes away. No blankets or extra pillow if you wished to sit/cuddle in the living room and watch a movie. But for some reason a second sofa tucked in between two walls 🤔 A very strange layout in general with stairs up and down going between the bedroom and living room and also from the entrance. Imagine a T shaped staircase. Again, these are complaints that are based on the price as in value for the money. Was it worth the price, no.

DislikedOur first impression at reception was disappointing, we found the staff surley, abrupt and unwelcoming. We were also disapponted when we were shown to our 'superior' double room. For English clients, imagine Premier Inn. Although the Hotel is in an grand old palazzo, unless booking a suite the rooms are modern and quite soul less. I would recommend not booking breakfast. We booked inclusive breakfast on the back of reading many positive reviews. Although there appears a fantastic choice of both hot and cold food, we found it sadly lacking generally. The hotel has a voucher system reminiscent of school dinners. There is a coffee percolator, or you had the option to order latte, cappucino etc from the staff. We were asked our room number when we did, which suggested this is a payable service. Once again there was a member of staff who quite clearly was not enjoying her job. Just outside the hotel are many places for breakfast.
