Hotel Machiavelli Palace

DislikedNot the fault of the hotel, but the lack of insulation between floors allowed us to hear a baby screaming and toddlers running across the floor upstairs.

LikedThe only good thing about this hotel visit was the staff who were very friendly and the rooftop bar and staff there. You don’t get a complimentary breakfast for what you’re paying. Also great location in walking distance of many great restaurants and options.

DislikedFrom the outside walking in you think “wow this is a nice looking place. The entrance and front desk. Then you get to your room, the bed was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on at a hotel. For the rates we paid I would’ve expected nicer quality. The bathroom was so small, shower is narrow and why is there a half screen that barely holds in place while you shower? It was impossible to not splash or leak water from the shower. The bed was made up of 2 twin beds pushed together. That was very disappointing for me to see. Tough bed, flat pillows, no amenities besides 2 bottles of water in a tiny fridge. Just very outdated room and bathroom. For it being in a prime location in Florence you would think it would be a bit nicer in your room, I’ve stayed at motels that are the same quality if not nicer.
