Embark on an unforgettable 8-hour adventure from Naples to Pompeii and Capri, where ancient ruins meet Mediterranean glamour. Explore the hauntingly beautiful ruins of a once-thriving Roman city, followed by a luxurious escape to a picturesque island gem. After a convenient pick-up from your Naples hotel (selected hotels only), the Cruise Terminal, or Napoli Centrale train station, we'll take a 25-minute drive along the highway to Pompeii. Upon arrival, an expert archaeologist guide will escort you through the ancient city, bypassing the long lines. You'll uncover the secrets of daily life in ancient Rome as you visit iconic landmarks like the theaters, Forum, Stabian Baths, House of the Faun, and House of the Tragic Poet. Next, return to Naples and embark on a 45-minute hydrofoil journey to the captivating island of Capri. Your guide will lead you to the charming funicular, which winds its way through lush lemon groves to the picturesque Piazzetta. Enjoy some leisure time to browse upscale boutiques and local artisan shops, and be sure to stop for a coffee at the historic Gran Caffè Vuotto. Wander the narrow streets, taking in the breathtaking views from the Gardens of Augustus belvedere. Gaze out at the stunning scenery, including Via Krupp, Mount Solaro, the Bay of Marina Piccola, and the majestic Faraglioni sea stacks. Finally, return to the funicular and hydrofoil, arriving back at the Naples port. From there, cruise passengers can stroll back to their ship, while hotel guests will be transferred back to their accommodations by minivan.
