Cà Vendramin Zago offers unique Venetian rooms in a historic 17th-century building. It has a quiet location near good restaurants, just 10 minutes' walk from Santa Lucia Train Station. Ca’ Vendramin has original frescoes, wood-beamed ceilings and Murano glass chandeliers. All rooms are air conditioned and feature a TV and minibar. Some come with modern decor. LikedHotel in an excellent location. Lovely period building. Great staff who were extremely helpful, in particular Alessandro, who gave me lots of information about the city.

DislikedThe room was very small, which was OK but the walls were extremely thin. I could hear every word spoken in the neighbouring room and every word from the TV. I could also hear all noise from the lobby, glasses clinking, people talking etc. This was disturbing late at night and early in the morning. However as it was a single room I imagine it wasn't the best in the hotel, so other rooms may be fine.

LikedHotel is in a fab location. 10 minute walk from the airport water taxi rank. Lots of shops , bars & restaurants within few minutes walk. About 10 mins to Rialto Bridge and 20 mins to St Marks Square. Room was large & full of character with high ceilings - you can imagine how it looked as a palazzo - a bit dated but clean & a lovely double bed , lots of space for hanging clothes. Breakfast was simple but enough to start your day & keep you going for a day of sight seeing.

DislikedTea & coffee could have been replenished as we did have to ask for extras and also milk on a daily basis. Small niggles but after a day of walking a cuppa was much needed.
