Very disappointed with our stay. We have stayed multiple places in Florence and have never experienced poor hospitality. When we 1st arrived we requested information regarding a tailor (searching for custom made dress shirts) with no help from the gentleman as reception. From past experience he could have looked into that for us and got back to us as we were staying at the hotel for 7 nights. He also informed us we could walk up to the rooftop bar for a drink with or without a reservation. That evening we tried to grab a drink at the terrace bar and we were told to make a reservation with reception. Our stay was SEVEN nights! Coming and going through the lobby multiple times a day and no one ever acknowledged us. This has never happened to us staying anywhere in Italy. The maid staff was ok, nothing special. Change of towels, and bed made everyday and we questioned if the sheets were changed being there for a week. One of our final days we stopped in the “American bar” for glass of wine before going back out to be served in and told the bar was closing and that we could finish up on the Terrance. We decided to take up offer, once upstairs we were again never acknowledged by the staff, offered snacks, or a refill on drinks. We ordered a bottle wine from the wait staff and several mins later they brought us our bill and said we could continue downstairs and the roof top was closing. We were confused as we were just told to come up because the bar downstairs was closing. The room itself was very noising at night from the chaos of the street waking up multiple times a night on our 7 night stay. Lastly, the final night we requested a taxi for the following morning just to be told no reservations could be made for taxi to airport and to show up downstairs 10 before 7. We arrived 4+ hours early at the airport because we were told we wouldn’t be able to get a taxi from hotel to airport from 7-3. Again, why were we not informed of this at check in with our 7 night staying knowing our checkout day was May 5 during a city marathon. We were married in Florence in 2022 and have been back multiple times since. We will continue to enjoy the beautiful city of Florence but our experience here is extremely disappointing. Will review in multiple sites and never return. The only hospitality are the ladies clearing plates in the breakfast room.

Breakfast was the best! You can’t beat the location…. just walk out the front door and you are near everything you want to see in Florence. The hotel was very clean, staff was wonderful, rooftop bar had amazing views.. so glad I stayed here.

LikedRoof top Bar was very nice and the location is very good, close to a lot of history. The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained. The staff was excellent and very helpful especially the concierge!
DislikedThe single room was very small and had a metal stair and platform, I guess to look at the window that was higher on the wall, but all you see is old rooftops and no historic attractions. I would rather have a desk where I can sit and use my computer, also this contraption made it difficult to more around the room because it was so small. The shower was mediocre, plastic door really.. But very clean. I think for the price they charged, for the room it was OK experience. Not sure I would go again it seems was I penalize for traveling alone.
