The Church of St. Gregory was built between the tenth and eleventh centuries and remained the only one of the churches in the Court of Catapano not have been demolished to build the Basilica of San Nicola. Is the oldest church in the city of Bari that has not substantially changed over time.
In Romanic Style, its facade has mullioned windows and is divided into three by two tall, slender columns and today has a main portal (the other two sides were walled in the 17th Century to allow construction of altars inside). The interior is divided into three naves concluding with three apses.
